New movers & shakers in Amadeus HBG

Bruno des Fontaines has taken up the newly-created role of Vice President, Hospitality Business Group (HBG) for Asia Pacific, based at the Amadeus offices in Bangkok, Thailand.

Bruno has overall responsibility for managing the HBG division of Amadeus across the region, developing both hotel distribution and IT business opportunities and also expanding Amadeus' presence in the hospitality industry in countries such as India and

China. In addition, he is in charge of a team specialised in training and educating travel agencies across Asia Pacific about Amadeus distribution solutions.

Prior to moving to Bangkok Bruno was based in Nice, France where he held worldwide Revenue Management Systems (RMS) sales responsibility, which he will continue to hold from Bangkok.

A native of France, Bruno has spent many years in the hospitality industry holding various senior management positions in Optims, and prior to that he was General Manager of Innsite, a computer company specialising in hospitality.

James Marshall

Although an Amadeus veteran, James Marshall is new to the recently-created HBG division in Bangkok. He has taken up the role of Regional Director Hospitality (HBG) Distribution, Asia Pacific.

Before joining HBG James had commercial responsibility for many of Amadeus´s commercial organisations throughout the Asia Pacific region - giving him a deep insight into the dynamics of the travel agency industry.

In his new role he is responsible for hospitality distribution in Asia Pacific. Key priorities include developing and strengthening partnerships with hoteliers and also providing strategic direction to the Amadeus distribution network in the region.

A multicultural European who has lived in Asia for 14 years, James relishes these new opportunities, in addition to the recent challenge of being father to newborn baby Sonia.

Pascale Pacelli

Pascal has joined the Miami-based Hospitality Business Group as Account Manager for North American hotels.

In her new role with HBG she is responsible for establishing, developing and managing the commercial relationship with hotel companies in North America.

Pascale brings with her 13 years of Amadeus experience in varying market segments including airline, product marketing and her most recent work with the Specialty team where she was responsible for account and business development with top consolidators, tour operators, and wholesalers. Pascale started in Amadeus working at global headquarters in Madrid, followed by a five-year stint working with Product Management throughout Central & South America.

Her understanding of different markets and industry knowledge makes her the ideal candidate to strengthen Amadeus relationships with hotel providers throughout North America.

A talented linguist, Pacale speaks four languages fluently- French, Italian, Spanish and English.

Guillaume Thevenot

A newcomer to Amadeus, Guillaume joined in June 2006 as Business Development Manager, Hospitality working for the Amadeus Commercial Organisation (ACO) for UK & Ireland and based just outside London in England.

Guillaume has a strong background working for various online travel players such as Active Hotels and Priceline Europe.

His key responsibilities are to drive the growth of hotel bookings with travel agencies throughout the UK and Ireland, implementing focused marketing activities locally to boost hotel awareness among Amadeus customers and prospects and to increase the UK and Ireland hotel content.

A keen blogger, Guillaume has his own site www.hotel-blogs.com which he set up earlier this year to give his views about what’s going on in Hotels online and offline - and to spread the word about the blogging phenomenon.

Brian Garvan

Also new to Amadeus is Brian Garvan, UK and Ireland Sales Manager for IT solutions, based in London. Brian brings extensive experience and expertise in hotel distribution, e-commerce and IT solutions surrounding internet, having worked previously at Pegasus Solutions, WorldRes and Active Hotels (Priceline Europe).

In his new role at Amadeus he's responsible for selling RMS and other IT solutions to hotels throughout the UK and Ireland. Brian relishes the opportunities for the hospitality industry to adopt new technology and is enthusiastic about working for an international company like Amadeus with such a wide scope and offering. When he's not dedicating his time to his customers, he enjoys travelling, cinema & literature, skiing and football.

Guillermo Moane

Guillermo joined Amadeus in February as Head of the Amadeus Hospitality Business Unit in Brazil. He is in charge of strategy and sales for hotels companies across the country.

He brings 8 years experience in the hotel industry and has worked with both Sheraton & Intercontinental hotels. In addition he has a strong technology background having spent four years at IT giant EDS.

A newcomer to Amadeus, Guillermo is enthusiastic about the dynamic and international atmosphere that prevails within the company. In addition to his day job, he’s also a music producer and composer and a devoted dog lover.
